Robert filled the water pail. Used a ladle to offer Ruth a drink.
“That’s good,” she said. “Thank you.”
“This is nice up here.”
“Yes.”
“Gosh, the way the sun reflects on you.”
“What do you mean?”
“You just look so nice.”
“Oh,” holding out her hand.
Three hours later, they came down the hill.
