An
Emergency Appointment with Her Counselor
“What’s going on, Sharon?”
“Just don’t know what to do.”
“What’s happened?”
“Ronnie and I broke-up again.”
“Hmm. Yes, that’s normally what we discuss.”
“I’m truly at my wits end.”
“What should you do?”
“Need to pray and ask Jesus what to do. What do you think?”
“You’d be better off trying the Magic 8-ball.”

George... I lose my way in the middle as to who is talking. By the time I get to the end, the counselor is saying the Magic 8-ball line. Is that what you intended. I'm thinking that Sharon would say that.

Thanks for the comment.
ReplyDeleteI usually don't use he said, she said, and so on as it uses up valuable words. Most of the stories where there is no identifying the speaker, it's back and forth between the two people in the story. Unless, I miss it I always start identifying who's talking/speaking.
This one........
The counselor asks, What should you do?
Sharon says pray to Jesus.
Might as well use the Magic 8-ball, counselor replies.
Thanks...
George
BTW, this why I asked for folks to read these. I've read them so many times I will miss problems you all find.
